General expectations of Coventry Pride Trustees
As a trustee of Coventry pride you will be expected to take on a specific area of the charities work to oversee and co-ordinate (this ranges from Publicity, booking entertainment, Sponsorship, Fundraising, Volunteer co-ordination). The board of trustees have a fixed meeting each month (this is electronically if you cannot attend in person. On average a non – named Trustee (not Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer or Secretary) will put in roughly 4-6 hours per week, this may be through research, checking e-mails, attending meetings etc. As a part of the community engagement that Coventry Pride undertakes you may be required to work with Children and Vulnerable adults.
We welcome applications from all members of the community in Coventry (If you are not a Coventry resident you can still apply but please tell us about your links to Coventry in the additional information section of the application form), as a board we try to ensure that the board reflects the beautifully diverse LGBT+ community of Coventry, and all experience levels, don’t let your own perceived experience put you off applying, if however you don’t think being a charity trustee is for you please consider becoming a volunteer here to help us make Coventry Pride 2017 a success.
