Coventry Pride 8-9 June 2019

Statement from the Trustees of Coventry Pride

Following on from complaints received. We unreservedly apologise for any hurt or offence caused to the members of the community we represent and serve. Coventry Pride understands that further hurt may have been caused through the processes we used to resolve the complaint. We unreservedly apologise about any hurt caused and we are revising our processes. We feel it has fallen short of what is expected of us and our values.

The complaints received by Coventry Pride related to Coventry Pride’s intention to sell a beer brewed by Twisted Barrel at our event on 9th and 10th June 2018. Our initial responses on Twitter were not up to the standard expected.

We confirm that we took the decision to withdraw the sale of the Twisted Barrel beer at Coventry Pride pending an investigation.

We are reviewing our due diligence process regarding working with suppliers to ensure any such situations are not repeated in the future.

We feel that this brings the matter to a close and we ask that the privacy, rights and liberties of all persons involved in this matter are respected
